NOBLES, LEWIS ARNOLD
(5 Nov 1930, Elk City Newspaper, Elk City, Beckham Co, OK):
Funeral services for Lewis Arnold Nobles, 21, son of Mr. and Mrs. T. D.
Nobles, of Canute, will be held Thursday afternoon at 2 o'clock at the
Community Church in Canute, with the Rev. L. D. Hawkins, pastor of the
First Methodist Episcopal church, officiating.
Mr. Nobles became ill last Friday and was brought to a city hospital
Sunday, where his condition was announced as serious.  He died last
evening.
Mr. Nobles has lived north of Canute for the past eight years and for the
last year has resided in Canute.  He came to that community from Trousdale
with his parents in 1921.  He was born November 15, 1909, at Texhoma, Tex.
Besides his parents Mr. Nobles is survived by five brothers and one
sister.  Three of these reside at the Nobles residence in Canute.  They
are Miss Mary Nobles, Raymond and Owen Nobles.  Others are Sam Nobles, of
Lake Creek, Curtis Nobles of Eastland, Tex., and Delbert Nobles of
Oklahoma City.
Grubitz & Son, funeral directors, are in charge of arrangements.
Interment will be made in the Canute cemetery (Washita County).
