J. W. O'BRIEN DEAD. Our people were sorry to hear of the death of Mrs. O'Brien, wife of J. W. O'Brien, on Route One, yesterday morning, after an illness of several months. She is the mother of Miss Teresa O'Brien of the First National Bank. The funeral will be held at Catholic Church, Elk City, this Thursday morning at 10 o'clock, after which the body will be shipped to Pocahontas, Iowa, for burial. OBITUARY Mrs. J. W. O'Brien Alice Loretta Noonan was born in Shullsburg, Wisconsin, Sept., 18th, 1855, died June 16th, 1920. She was married to J. W. O'Brien, August 6th, 1879 at Shullsburg, and in 1882 moved to Havenlock, Iowa, where she lived until coming to Elk City in 1908. She was the mother of seven children, three of whom preceded her to the grave, those left to mourn her loss, are her husband, J. W. O'Brien, four children, Frank of Pocahontas, Ia., Mrs. C. J. Quigley, Neal and Teresa O'Brien of Elk City, also one brother Lawrence Noonan of Springdale, Montana, and a sister, Mrs. C. J. B. Harris of Yankton, S.D. Rev. A. Geereart celebrated Requiem Mass at St. Joseph's Church at 10 o'clock Thursday morning for the deceased whose remains were accompanied to Iowa by Mr. O'Brien, Mrs. Quigley, Neal and Teresa O'Brien, where burial took place Saturday, June 19th, 1920. (1 Jul 1920, Elk City Newspaper, Elk City, Beckham Co, OK): Neil O'Brien and sister Mrs. Quigley returned Thursday from Pocahontas, Iowa, where they had accompanied the remains of their mother for burial in the cemetery there.
