OHLER, JANE
(18 Dec 1907, Wednesday, Elk City Record, Elk City, Beckham Co, OK):
OBITUARY.  Our dear mother has gone home to rest.  Miss Jane Rowland was 
born March 3d, 1907 (1827), in Ashland Co., Ohio.
At the age of sixteen united with the Baptist church.  Dec. 16, 1849, she was 
united in marriage with John Ohler.  Later in life they both joined the M. E. 
Church, then remained very earnest and faithful members until death in which 
her husband preceded her twenty-two years.  Her death occurred Nov. 26, 1907.
She always lived a quiet, Christian life, always kind to everyone; loving to her 
dear sons, always trying to do some act of kindness to those with whom she 
mingled.  
She leaves two daughters, seven grand-children, and six great grand-children 
to mourn their loss which is her eternal gain.  
Her last words were, "Let me rest."  She is resting now from her suffering 
and sorrow of this life.
The remains were laid to rest in the Elk City cemetery, Nov. 27, funeral 
services were conducted by the Methodist Pastor, Rev. Hummer.
