ORENDORFF, LUCRETA
(3 Mar 1925, Elk City News Democrat, Elk City, Beckham Co, OK):
JOY AND SORROW
J. A. Miller, or Grandpa Miller, as we all call him, celebrated his 
87th birthday anniversary on Thursday, February 26th.  His son, 
Gilbert Miller and family and their neighbors, Mr. and Mrs. West and 
son, came over from north of Sayre and spent the day with Grandpa and 
helped him to celebrate.
While the day was very pleasantly spent, and everything seemed so joyful 
and all so glad that Grandpa was feeling so well, yet it ended very sad 
for Mr. and Mrs. Gilbert Miller for on returning home a telegram was 
awaiting them telling them of the death of their daughter, Mrs. Lucreta 
Orendorff, of North Missouri.  She was about twenty-seven years of age 
and left three little children from one year to eight years old.  Her 
sister died about eighteen months ago, and a sister-in-law died a while 
before that.
