What a brief span between the date of birth, and yet how much of usefulness it contained. He was ever a dutiful and loving son and brother, he was possessed of a cheerful disposition and held in the highest esteem by all who knew him, and his removal from this earth's scenes elicits sincere regret. He leaves besides his father and mother, two sisters and one brother, many relatives and a large circle of friends, who deeply feel the loss of this noble young man. Owing to the serious illness of several members of the family, funeral services were not held at the home, brief services being held at the grave in Thompson's cemetery, Thursday at 1 P.M., conducted by J. L. Harris, who expressed a befitting eulogy of the many noble traits of the character of the deceased. To the dear ones in the home and all who miss the footsteps and voice that will never more be heard, our hearts go out in tenderness, love and sympathy. Roy is not dead, but gone to a brighter clime above. Mother hearts are always thrilled with everlasting love. Mrs. H. W. Conner. --------------------------------------------------- Return to Beckham County Archives: http://www.usgwarchives.net/ok/beckham/beckham.html
