He was born in Belmont County, Ohio, on September 20th, 1852, and was 72 years and two months of age at his death. At seventeen years of age he united with the Methodist Episcopal church at Mt. Zion, Ill. His first marriage took place in Wayne County, Ill., when he married Miss Alice Baker. Five boys and two girls were born to this union. His wife died in Nebraska in 1890. On November 2, 1898, in Belmont, Ohio, he was married to Miss Mary Perkins. One child was born to this union, Miss Wilma Pasco, who with the mother has tenderly cared for Mr. Pasco in his long illness. In 1900 the Pasco family moved to Oklahoma and have resided in Elk City and community ever since. All of his children of the first marriage, as well as his widow and Miss Wilma survive. Funeral services were held at the Christian Church where many of his old time friends assembled to bid him a last goodby. It was remarked about the large number of elderly men who were present at the funeral, and he will be sadly missed by many of his old comrades. There were also many other friends present. Many beautiful floral offerings covered the casket, showing the love and respect of his many friends. C. H. Lemmex preached a helpful sermon, one of faith and hope. The choir sang several selections after which the body was taken to Fairlawn cemetery and laid to rest. --------------------------------------------------- Return to Beckham County Archives: http://www.usgwarchives.net/ok/beckham/beckham.html
