PERKEY, SARAH KATHERINE
(17 Feb 1925, Elk City Newspaper, Elk City, Beckham Co, OK):
Mrs. Perky and Baby Dead.  Mr. Perky Very Ill.
Kissed Wife After Death and Suffers Severe Case of Blood Poison.
Sarah Katherine Perky (sic) wife of G. W. Perky living south of Canute
died at the family home February 14.  She was 43 years of age, the mother
of sixteen children, thirteen of who are living and attended the funeral.
A little daughter, Sally, born January 31st, died on February 10.  Both
funerals were held at Ural and burial made in the Ural cemetery.  Geo. R.
Grubitz & Son had charge of both funerals.
Mr. Perky is very low with blood poisoning in his face as a result of
having kissed his wife before the funeral.  It is said fears are had for
his recovery.
