(4 Jan 1911, Wednesday, Elk City Record, Elk City, Beckham Co, OK): G. A. Peterman came to Elk City from Humansville, Mo., last June and has been a resident of this place since that time. About two weeks ago he taken critically ill and died Monday afternoon. He leaves one son, H. A. Peterman, six daughters, Mrs. Martin of Elk City, Mrs. George of Hinton, Okla., Mrs. Jackson and Miss Ruby of Humansville, Mo., and Misses Sallie and Leigh who made their home with their father. Miss Ruby had been with him some time prior to his death. The body was taken back to the old home for burial, beside that of his wife. Funeral services conducted by pastor of the Baptist church of which he was an active member. (5 Jan 1911, Thursday, Elk City Democrat, Elk City, Beckham Co, OK): G. A. Peterman, father of H. A. Peterman, the Produce dealer, died at the residence of his son on Sixth Street Monday afternoon, after many days illness from rheumatism, age 62 years. The remains were shipped to Humansville, Mo., his old home for burial. Mr. Peterman was a good and kindhearted old gentleman and held in the highest esteem by all who knew him. His kindness and parental advice will be greatly missed by his son and daughter and other relatives.
