WALTER PRICE OF SAYRE DIES SUDDENLY Word was received here this morning that Mrs. Walter Price had passed away this morning. She had been sick but had gone to sleep and later when Mr. Price went to give her medicine he found she had passed away. Funeral will be held tomorrow afternoon. (15 May 1924, Sayre Journal, Sayre, Beckham Co, OK): Lula Bronner was born May 16, 1878, near Eastland, Texas, died May 8th, 1924. She moved to Oklahoma after she was grown. For some time she was Matron of the Odd Fellows Home at Carmen, Oklahoma. She came to Sayre from Carmen. About three years ago she was married to Walter Price. She professed faith in Christ at an early age and united with the Presbyterian Church, and at the time of her death she was a devout member of the Presbyterian Church of Sayre. Three children were born of her first marriage, two of them dying in infancy. She leaves one son, four step-sons, her husband, two sisters and a brother. Interment in the Delhi cemetery, Friday, May 9th. Rev. J. T. Means, pastor of the Sayre Presbyterian church conducted the funeral services. (15 May 1924, Beckham County Democrat, Erick, Beckham Co, OK): Found Dead. Mrs. Lula Price, wife of Walter J. Price, died last Thursday morning about 3 a.m., at the family residence in the northeast part of Sayre. Mrs. Price had been ill only a few days, and had not been confined to her bed during this time. Wednesday she suffered with severe pains in her limbs and side, and after the doctor had given her some medicine that relieved the pain, she went to sleep.
