RAGLAND, EDWIN
(15 Feb 1911, Wednesday, Elk City Record, Elk City, Beckham Co, OK):
Little Edwin the nine year old son of E. O. Ragland south of Canute, died
at the Elk City Hospital Friday morning of peritonitis.
The little fellow was only sick a few days, three days before his death he
was brought to the hospital for treatment but the disease had taken such a
hold on his system that medical treatment was of little or no benefit.
The body was taken to Ural cemetery for burial beside that of his mother
Saturday.
(16 Feb 1911, Thursday, Elk City Democrat, Elk City, Beckham Co, OK):
DIED.  At the hospital in this city, Feb. 10, of appendicitis after an
operation, Edwin Ragland, at the age of nine years.  He was the little son
of D. O. (sic) Ragland who resides near Ural.  The remains were prepared
for burial at Carpenter's undertakers establishment and were interred at
the Ural cemetery.
The Democrat extends sympathy to the bereaved parents.
