Mrs. Reed had not been well for some time but was not considered dangerously ill, having come from the farm to the home of her father-in-law who resides in the west end of town, Sunday previous to her death. Mrs. Reed was a member of the Grandview Methodist Church and a firm believer in the reward that awaits the faithful. A short service was conducted by her pastor, the Rev. G. C. Wadding, Saturday morning at 9 o'clock. Interment took place in the Buffalo Creek graveyard about twenty-five miles from Elk City.
