RENFRO, LAURA LEE
(Elk City Daily News, Elk City, Beckham Ok, Oct 1969)
Mrs. Laura Renfro, Carter Rites are Pending.
Mrs. Laura Lee Renfro died Monday, October 13, at the Hensley Nursing
Home, Sayre.  Services are pending at the First Baptist Church, Carter,
under the direction of the Peoples' Funeral Home, Lone Wolf. Mrs. Renfro
was born in Jack County, Texas, November 15, 1885.  She came with her
parents Mr. and Mrs. Joshua Taylor Tindell to Indian Territory when a
child and to Beckham county in 1899.
She was married to W. G. Renfro November 9, 1902, at Cheyenne.  They moved
to the homestead near Carter where they lived until Mr. Renfro's death in
1940.  Mrs. Renfro continued to live there until 1944 when she moved to
Elk City.  She was a member of the First Baptist church, Elk City.  In
1965 Mrs. Renfro had a stroke and was moved to a nursing home in Sayre.
She is preceded in death by four brothers, an infant son and her husband
in 1940.
Survivors are three daughters, Mrs. Oleta Breeze, Sayre; Mrs. Doris Gray,
Arnett; Mrs. Lois Lindsey, Oklahoma City; two sons, Orvil (Bill) of Carter
and Loid of Haskell, Texas; seven grandchildren, nine great grandchildren
and four great-great grandchildren.
