Pinkerton Officiates at Funeral of Strong City Man. Funeral services for Joseph Elmer Rennels, farmer near Strong City, were held Wednesday afternoon at the Church of Christ at Hammon, with Rev. J. D. Pinkerton, pastor of the church officiating. Mr. Rennels and his family, Mrs. Rennels and son, were visiting in Hammon at the time of his death. Mr. Rennels died suddenly Tuesday shortly after returning from the downtown section of Hammon to the residence of his friends whom he was visiting. Mr. Rennels was born March 17, 1884 at Velma, Oklahoma. Besides a wife and son, surviving him are his mother, Mrs. Mary Rennels, brother Alfred Rennels of Colter Community, north of Elk City; and sister, Mrs. Noel Johnson, of Tucumcari, New Mexico. Interment was made in Red Hill Cemetery (Roger Mills County).
