All rights reserved. http://www.rootsweb.com/~usgenweb/copyright.htm ************************************************ REYNOLDS, THOMAS HENRY (22 Nov 1928, Elk City Newspaper, Elk City, Beckham Co, OK): Thomas Henry Reynolds was born January 13, 1856 in Christian county, Ky., died Elk City, Okla., November 11, 1928. At his death he was 72 years, 9 months and 29 days old. He was married to Mattie H. McClurey, March 9, 1866 (sic), at Denton county, Texas. Coming from Texas to Oklahoma twenty-one years ago, Mr. Reynolds has lived in Elk City eight years. "Grandpa Reynolds," as he was called, was an old time Methodist and lived up to it. Was a good neighbor, had lots of friends. He was always ready to help in time of need, all he was able. He had been (ill) for several years so he could not get around much. Grandpa leaves his devoted wife and nine children, Frank and Elmer of Elk City; R. E. of Albuquerque, N. M.; Mrs. R. E. Lee of Hollis, Okla.; Mrs. S. E. Hicks of Mountain Air, N.M.; Mrs. A. E. Jenkens, Hedrick, Okla.; Mrs. W. O. Hasper of Elk City; Mrs. R. P. Hasper, Memphis, Texas; Mrs. B. L. McDonal, Wink, Texas. Grandpa leaves one sister and three brothers, all of Vinson, Okla. He was laid to rest in Independence cemetery in Harmon county, Okla., Rev. Civley of Vinson, officiating and Gentry-Killough were in charge. Pall bearers at the home were Mr. J. C. Hart, Mr. W. H. Hewlett, Mr. Walter Thomas, Mr. C. Pruett and Mr. Heath; at the cemetery were his old friends, J. C.
