RICE, FAY LARUTH
(8 Mar 1928, Elk City Newspaper, Elk City, Beckham Co, OK):
Fay Rice was born February 21, 1917, and died March 1, 1928, age 11 years,
10 days.  Funeral services were held March 2, at Grimes.  Interment was
made in the Dempsey cemetery (Roger Mills County).  Gentry-Killough in
charge.
Little Fay Laruth Rice was born at Crescent, Logan county, Oklahoma, in
1917, and departed this life March 1, 1928, at her home north of Grimes,
aged eleven years and twenty days (sic).  She leaves to mourn her loss a
father and mother, one sister and two brothers, four grandparents and a
host of other relatives and friends.
The relatives from a distance who attended the funeral were, Mr. and Mrs.
John Rice and Arnold Sanve, of Tulsa; Mr. Jack, Mr. and Mrs. Overton and
son, Mrs. A. W. Yost, Carl Jack and Kenneth Jack, Mrs. Pearl Davidson, all
of Oklahoma City; Jim Jack of Choctaw, Walter Jack and wife of Jones,
Okla.; H. F. Rice and wife of Elk City; and Alva Jack of Grimes.
Little Fay was a sweet little girl and dearly loved by her schoolmates and
teachers.  It was so hard to give her up and we cannot see why, but some
day, somewhere, we'll understand.
