(14 Dec 1911, Elk City Newspaper, Elk City, Beckham Co, OK):
Death of Mrs. Richerson
Mrs. Polly Richerson died Tuesday, December 12th, at the home of her son,
Schuyler Richerson, six miles north of Sayre, after a brief illness of
four days.  Mrs. Richerson was born June 2, 1838, and was 74 years of age
at the time of her death.  The funeral services were conducted at the
residence by Rev. Wages, pastor of the Methodist church of Sayre, and the
remains laid to rest in the Doxey cemetery Wednesday afternoon at 2
o'clock.  Mrs. Richerson's surviving children are Mrs. Mary Long of
Mobeetie, Texas; Lee Richerson of Miama, Texas; Mrs. J. B. Freeman, of
Sayre, and Walter, Jim, Schuyler and John Richerson, all of whom were here
at the time of her death.
(15 Dec 1911, Friday, Sayre Headlight, Sayre, Beckham Co, OK):
Mrs. Mary Richerson died at the home of her son S. R. Richerson Tuesday
morning at the ripe age of 73 years.  She leaves five sons and two
daughters all of whom are well known in Roger Mills and Beckham counties.
Interment was had in the Doxey cemetery Wednesday, the Rev. J. R. Wages
presiding at the final ceremonies.
