RICKER, MATTIE
(9 Dec 1930, Elk City Newspaper, Elk City, Beckham Co, OK):
Funeral services for Mrs. Mattie Ricker, 66, wife of Charlie Ricker, of
Carpenter were held today at 1:30 p.m. at the Christian Church in
Carpenter (Roger Mills County).  Rev. C. S. Moad of this city read the
final rites.
Mrs. Ricker died Sunday after an illness of four months.  She had lived at
Carpenter for the past three years, having married Mr. Ricker at that
time.  Prior to her marriage she had resided at Hydro.  Mrs. Ricker was
married to J. R. Forney at Wichita, Kans., in 1882.
Immediate members of the family surviving Mrs. Ricker are her husband, Mr.
Ricker and three children.  They are:  C. T. Forney, of Springfield, Ohio;
J. D. Forney of Ft. Collins, Colo.; and Mrs. J. R. Boardman of Enid.  Mrs.
Boardman was the only child able to attend the services today.
Interment was made in the Carpenter cemetery.  Killough-Hullum, funeral
directors, were in charge.
