RILEY, SAMUEL
(17 Jan 1907, Thursday, Elk City Democrat, Elk City, Beckham Co, OK):
Samuel Riley came to Elk City about two months ago, and went to work in
the Teddy Berry Restaurant.  About two weeks ago he took sick with
pneumonia and died Saturday morning about 4 o'clock at the age of 58 years
and was burried (sic) in the City Cemetery, Sunday evening at 1:30.
Mr. Riley came here from Texas, and although a stranger to most people
here, there are people here who have known him for fifteen years and gave
him the name of being a sober industrious man. Owing to the recent heavy
storms and the condition of the telegraph system they were unable to get
word to his folks until after he was dead.
