(Ikey) and Caroline Kauk; and she departed this life on January 28, 2002 at the Elk City Regional Medical Center. She attended school at Eureka and Leedey School, graduating in 1941. She was the first member of her family to graduate from high school. She then attended Hiill's Business School in Oklahoma City. She was very apprehensive about leaving her family and moving the "big city." She laater worked at Taloga in the Farm Service Office . On January 23, 1944 she married Kenneth (Preach) Robertson at Leedey in the First Baptist Church parsonage. They were blessed with three daughters, Peggy, Sue, and Brenda. Kenneth and Geraldine raised their daughters on their farm south of Rhea. The entire family was involved in the farm and ranch operation. During their 58 years of marriage, Geraldine was indeed a helpmate to her husband. One could find her helping Kenneth feed cattle, doing field work, and hauling wheat to the elevator during "harvest." The was easily recognized at the elevator by her big floppy straw hat. Gerri enjoyed gardening, crocheting, and cooking. Her grandchildren believe that no one can come close to making noodles, broscht, and cinnamon rolls as good as hers. Gerri loved her grandchildren and that love is returned in full. They have so many memories helping make cinnamon rolls, playing with them in the stock tank, hauling wheat with her, fishing, seeing snakes with legs turned out to be a snake eating a frog, arguing about who got to sit on her pal, and who got to sleep on the cot by Grandmother and Granddad's bed. These are memories that become more precious each day. At Kauk reunions, Aunt Gerrfi was known for her Kauk dill pickles and making watermelon teeth for the young children, as well as the not so young. She was proud of all her nieces and nephews. She felt very honored when asked to sign the marriage certificate of one of her great nephews. Geraldine and Kenneth were always by one another's side-whether it was working on the farm, going to school activities or going to church. They were baptized together in 1952 and joined the Rhea Baptist Church in Leedey. Geraldine loved her church. Gerri loved supporting the Leedey Bison-baseball, softball, basketball, or any other school activity. No team was as good as her Leedey Bison. She especially enjoyed watching her great nieces and nephews in those green uniforms. Geraldine and Kenneth seldom missed a game. Their "Gone Ball Gamin" sign got plenty of use through the years. In 1993, they received the "Bison Fan Award" from the student body. Gerladine was preceded in death by her parents, E.W. and Caroline kauk; her brothers, Arman Ralph, Gilbert, Melvin and Johnny Kauk and her sister, Florence Kauk. She is survived by her husband Kenneth; her daughters, Peggy Horrell, Sue Harris, and Brenda Robertson; sons-in-law, Nolan Horrell and Wally Harris; grandchildren, Jason Harris and wife Brenda; Jennifer MCulley and husband Mark, Gina Johnson and husband Steve; Traci Harris; Ken Horrell and wife Catrina and great-grandson Kellen Horrell. She is also survived by her sister, Margaret Nichols; her brothers, Junior Kauk and wife Patty, Austin Auk and wife Roberts, Allen (Diz) and wife Maxine; sisters-in-law, Lorene Kauk, Audrey Robertson, Ruth Robertson, Doris Robertson Rhoades, Stella Kauk, and many other nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. Geraldine will be greatly missed, but the memories will live on forever in all the lives she has blessed. Services were held Saturday, February 2, 2002 at the Leedey First Baptist Church under the direction of Sahw Funeral Home, Leedey, Oklahoma. The Elk City Daily News, Elk City, OK 7-Feb-2002
