OK BUCK ROBINSON Posted by Joan (DeFore) Garvey for Elk City Library Elk City Paper, Beckham Co., OK OBITUARY Buck ROBINSON was born September 25, 1895 at Yorktown, Texas and departed this life Sunday, February 26th at the Community Hospital at the age of eight-two years, five months and one day. He came to Elk City in 1938 and was employed by the Beutler Brothers Rodeo Directors some ten years. He was a veteran of World War I, from October 30, 1917 until May 17, 1919. He was married to Bessie Brown on June 10, 1944 at Wheeler, Texas and she survives him. Other survivors include five daughters: Mrs. Martha L. GIBSON, Lubbock, Texas, Mrs. Lula M. WATKINS, Mrs. Martha EVANS and Miss Lusta ROBINSON all of Elk City, and Mrs. Marie SYMONDS of Burns Flat. Also thirty-four grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren.
