(The Olustee Democrat, Olustee, Jackson Co, Ok, 25 Apr 1918) DIED; JOSEPH A. ROBINSON was born in Bosque Co., Texas, Aug 16, 1872. He was united in marriage to Miss Ada Armstrong June 15, 1896. To this union were born four children, two boys dying while young, Lottie and Ruby are now living. He was one of the first of the Childress Creek community in Bosque Co. to move to Oklahoma; later, a number of families came from there and the most of them were represented at the funeral services. He lived in and near Olustee the last 18 years, farming, carpentering and managing gins until his health began to fail about a year ago. He took a two months vacation in Colorado last summer but it did him no good. He died of acute nephritis on April 22, at 6:15 A.M. Rev. S. N. West preached the funeral in the Baptist church to one of the largest congregations ever seen in Olustee on a week day, thus testifying to his popularity. Besides his wife and two daughters, three brothers and three sisters survive him: W. R. Robinson, Hillsboro, Texas; R. A. Robinson, Ada Okla; W. A. Hunt, Marysville, Tex; Mrs. A. V. Lee, Hillsboro, Tex; Mrs. W. M. Townsley, Meridian, Tex.; Mrs. Ella Fountain, Rochester, Nevada.
