J. B. RODGERS (sic) Mrs. John B. Rodgers died at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Laura Ault at Hobart on July 26. Funeral services were held at Ural with Rev. Earl Smith officiating. Mary E. Tomlinson, daughter of John W. and Jane Tomlinson was born in Red River county, Texas, August 10th, 1852. Next month she would have celebrated her 66th birthday. She was a sister of Mrs. A. L. Taylor. On March 4th 1872 at the age of nineteen she was married to John B. Rodgers by Judge Frank M. White, a friend of the family. To this union ten children were born, James Barrett, Myrtle Ann, Robert Wadell, Hugh, Jane Elizabeth, John B. Jr., George, Sims, Cory M., and William E.T. All but James Barrett survive their mother. Mrs. Rodgers had been a member of the Christian church for forty-six years.
