ROSE, ROBERT F.
(24 Feb 1924, Elk City Newspaper, Elk City, Beckham Co, OK):
R. F. ROSE DEAD
After an illness of several months from cancer of the stomach R. F. Rose
died last Friday, February 22, 1924, being 80 years and fifteen days old.
Funeral services were held at the Presbyterian Church on Saturday
afternoon, conducted by Rev. Tracy.  Mr. Rose was an old settler of this
community, and was always quite a worker in the democrat party.  He was
born in Giles County, Tenn.  He moved to Texas where on December 22nd,
1874, he was married to Clara Donald Smith, and who preceded him in death
several years ago.  The children surviving are Edward, Nathaniel, Robert
Franklin, Solon E., Mrs. W. S. Farmer.  A little child, Forest, died in
1894.
