All rights reserved. http://www.rootsweb.com/~usgenweb/copyright.htm ************************************************ ROSSER, DANIEL (13 Jul 1916, Elk City Leader, Elk City, Beckham Co, OK): Daniel Rosser, one of the pioneer residents of this section, died here at an early hour Wednesday morning after an illness of more than two years. Mr. Rosser had lived in Beckham county for the past fourteen years, living near Bellview school house. He was fifty-seven years old and is survived by three sisters, Mrs. T. M. Henley of Troup, Texas, and Mrs. John Oiler and Mrs. Deeter of Lafountaine, Indiana. His wife died a number of years ago while they were residents of Alabama, and he never remarried. The sisters were notified of Mr. Rosser's death and Mrs. Henley was here for the funeral services, the other sisters were unable to attend. Funeral services were held at the late home and the remains were laid to rest in the Belleview (sic) cemetery. Mr. Rosser was a good citizen. He was a member of the Lutheran church and lived a life that made for him a friend of all with whom he came in contact and he will be missed in this section. The remains were prepared by Grubitz & Son and held until the arrival of Mrs. Henley and removed to the home for the funeral service.
