Savage, son of John and Martha Savage, was born in Camel County, Kentucky, May 14, 1861. His parents moved to Clark County, Missouri, when he was a small boy, where he was raised and where he was married to Miss Eva M. Hiatt in 1886. To this union a son was born. He moved to Oklahoma in 1899, where he has since lived until death called him home on the beautiful Sabbath morning of July 28, 1907. He was well known in this and surrounding communities and leaves many friends who sympathize with the family in this, their great bereavement. Mr. Savage leaves a wife and son and aged mother, two sisters and four brothers to mourn for him. May God be with them. (1 Aug 1907, Thursday, Elk City Democrat, Elk City, Beckham Co, OK): Death.
