SCHONES, JOHN E.
(16 May 1918, Elk City Newspaper, Elk City, Beckham Co, OK):
DEATH SUMMONS JOHN SCONES (sic).
John  Schones, whose home was 7 miles southwest of Foss, died Friday night
at an Oklahoma City hospital.  He had undergone an operation for
appendicitis and gall stones and had recovered to the extent that his
relatives had returned home, thinking that he would be able to leave the
hospital in a few days.  A ruptured blood vessel caused his death.
The body was shipped here Sunday and was buried in Shiedel cemetery
(Washita County) Monday.  Father Herenthaels had charge of the services.
Mr. Schones was about 35 years old and is survived by a wife, a daughter,
father and mother and several brothers and sisters.  - Foss Enterprise.
