SCOTT, MALVINA
(24 Nov 1921, Elk City Newspaper, Elk City, Beckham Co, OK):
Mrs. M. Scott, mother of Mrs. Isa Wells, died at the home of her
grand-daughter, Mrs. Gene Steele, last Thursday morning about 7:30.  "Ma
Scott" as she was affectionately called by all who knew her had not been
in good health for some months but was able to be up.  Thursday morning
she arose, dressed and was sitting in her chair when she called to one of
the little girls to open the door, and call her mother.  When Mrs. Steele
reached her side she was dead.  She was buried at the Sayre-Doxey cemetery
Saturday morning.  A large crowd and many beautiful flowers were but small
expressions of the love felt for "Ma Scott" by the community in which she
had lived so many years.
