Obituary
The following was received this week, taken from the Ringgold, Texas,
Broadcaster:
Mrs. Sarah Seeds
Mrs. Frances (sic) Seeds, born January 11, 1855, died Dec. 13, 1924, at
her home four miles north of Ringgold where she had been a resident for 25
years.  She had just reached the age of 69.
She was married to Mr. Ira Seeds, Dec. 7, 1871.  To this union twelve
children were born, nine of whom are still living, and all except one were
present at her bedside when death claimed her.  She is survived by the
following children:
Mrs. R. L. Wilmoth, Elk City, Okla.; Mrs. J. P. Walling, Crowell, Texas;
Mrs. T. Williamson, Stanfield Ranch; Mrs. J. M. Thompson of Plain, N. M.;
Mr. Ed Seeds of Shamrock, Tex.; Mr. Charles Seeds of Burkburnet, Texas;
Mr. Rob Seeds, Mr. Odis Seeds and Mr. Herman Seeds, all of whom live at
Ringgold.  Besides her family she is survived by 39 grandchildren and 1
great grandchild.
The home has lost a loving and devoted Christian mother.  Mrs. Seeds was a
member of the Christian church and each Sunday morning made an effort to
fill her usual place at church and Sunday school.
She witnessed the growth of Montague county from a wilderness to the
present state of prosperity.
May God's richest blessings rest upon every one of her children and may
they strive to be the kind of men and kind of women their mother would
have them be.
