SEISS, MARY ANN
(9 Jul 1914, Elk City News Democrat, Elk City, Beckham Co, OK):
OBITUARY
Mary Ann Seiss died at her home northwest of Elk City at two forty-five
Monday morning, July sixth, after an illness of Typhoid fever.
Funeral services were held at the Catholic Church, conducted by Father
Geereart assisted by Father Vemmens of Woodward, at ten a.m., Tuesday. 
Interment in the Elk City Cemetery.
The deceased was sixty-one years old and had come from Germany to Oklahoma
over eight years ago.  She leaves two sons and four daughters, one of the
daughters still living in Germany, and a host of relatives and friends who
will miss her gentle presence and her wise council sorely, for in that
measure has been the joy of her sweet presence among us.  God in His
wisdom, has removed one of His rarest gifts, a mother.  M. K. L.
