SEWELL, LAURA
(21 Jun 1917, Elk City Newspaper, Elk City, Beckham Co, OK):
Died.  Mrs. Laura Sewell, wife of J. T. Sewell, of Texola died June 15th
after but a very short illness.
The funeral was delayed until Tuesday morning, awaiting the arrival of a
couple of sons.  She leaves her husband, four sons and two daughters.  She
was 59 years of age and was one of Texola's best known and loved matrons. 
The funeral was conducted by the Texola Chapter Order of the Eastern Star
of which she had been a member for many years.  There was a large
concourse of sorrowing friends and relatives at the cemetery to pay their
last sad tribute to this beloved lady.  Several attended from this city.
