SHELTON 68 years old, farmer in the Belleview community, died this morning at a city hospital after an illness of 16 days. Funeral services will be held a(at) 2 o'clock Tuesday afternoon at the Killough-Hullum chapel with C. E. McGAUGHEY, minister of the Second and Adams streets Church of Christ, officiating. Mr. SHELTON was born December 5, 1866, in Dare county, Kentucky. He lived two miles west and eight miles south of Elk City. (Obituary Two) January 28, 1935 JOHN A SHELTON John A. SHELTON, born in Tennessee (Kentucky), December 6, 1869 (1866?) and departed this life January 20, 1935, after an illness of three weeks. On February 11, 1890 he was united in marriage to Miss Sallie WALKUP of near Louisville, Kentucky, coming to Oklahoma in 1838 they settled on a homestead near Hammon, where they lived until 1910, then moved to the farm south of Elk City, where he was living at the time of his death. His wife and one son preceded him in death. He leaves to mourn his passing Quinton and Opal SHELTON at home. C.W., R.D., D.R., D.A. and J.O. SHELTON and Mrs. A.H. BURLESON all of Elk City. Mrs. R.W. ALLEN of Crawford, Okla., Mrs. D.A. KIRK, Austin, Texas, besides other relatives and friends.
