SHERWIN, S. O.
(2 Aug 1923, Elk City Newspaper, Elk City, Beckham Co, OK):
FATHER DIES.
E. R. Sherwin of Bella Vista neighborhood received a telegram Friday
notifying him of the death of his father, S. O. Sherwin, which occurred
that morning.  He had been ill since Christmas and his death was not a
surprise to his son here.  He was aged seventy-six years.  He lived with
his son, E. R., here for several years and was well known by the people of
Bella Vista neighborhood.  His wife died seven years ago and he has been
living among his children since that time and at his death was at Iola,
Kansas.  His body was sent to Stockton, Missouri, to be layed (sic)  by
the side of his wife.
