B. SHERWOOD E. B. Sherwood died at his home in Elk City, at an early hour Sunday morning last, and was buried at the city cemetery Sunday afternoon. Mr. Sherwood with his family, had been a citizen of Elk City for three years. He was respected and trusted by all who knew him. He has been from time to time salesman in several of our mercantile houses. At the time of his death he was weighmaster at the city cotton yard. Mr. Sherwood leaves a wife and daughter to mourn his loss, his son, Bryan, having preceded him by a few months. A large concourse of neighbors attended the funeral at the family home at 3 o'clock Sunday afternoon, and many followed the hearse to the cemetery. The funeral services were conducted with Rev. Gwatkin, at the family residence. (7 Mar 1907, Thursday, Elk City Democrat, Elk City, Beckham Co, OK): DEATH.
