(27 Oct 1920, Elk City Newspaper, Elk City, Beckham Co, OK): Mrs. John Crane of Bartlesville, Oklahoma, sister of R. Skinner, arrived Wednesday to be at the bed side of her father grandpa Skinner. It seems as if sadness is always finding its way into our midst Friday afternoon grandpa Skinner passed out of this life after an illness of several months. He was a native of Iowa and has been a resident of this section for six years making his home with his son R. Skinner where he died at the age of 77 years. Funeral services were conducted by Rev. S. R. Wells at 2:30 at the school house, Saturday. The remains were laid to rest in the Berlin cemetery (Roger Mills County).
