SMITH, IRENE LATHEL
(20 Nov 1921, Elk City Newspaper, Elk City, Beckham Co, OK):
OBITUARY
Irene Lathel Pierce was born in Moore county, Tennessee, March 16, 1887. 
She was converted and joined the M. E. Church, South, at the age of
thirteen years.  At the age of fifteen she was married to W. H. Smith and
to this union were born six children.
At the time of her death, October 11th, 1921, Mrs. Smith with her husband
were on their way from Seminole, Okla., to Elk City to make their home
near her sister, Mrs. J. W. Edwards, whom she had not seen for ten years.
The deceased leaves a husband, six children, five sisters and three
brothers, a father and mother to mourn her loss.
The remains were laid to rest in the Ural cemetery Thursday, October 13th.
