SMITH, RUTH A.
(17 Nov 1921, Elk City Newspaper, Elk City, Beckham Co, OK):
DEATH OF MRS. A. W. SMITH
Mrs. A. W. Smith, who has been ill at the Wayland home, in Elk City for
the past several months, died last Wednesday, November 16th, at 2:00 a.m. 
She came here from New Mexico for treatment some time ago but had
gradually failed in health since her arrival here, and her death was not
unexpected.
Funeral services conducted by Rev. DeVore, will be held this afternoon at
the M. E. Church, South, after which the remains will be laid to rest in
Fairlawn Cemetery, by the side of a daughter who died here several years
ago, when Mr. and Mrs. Smith were owners of a racket store in Elk City.
The deceased leaves a husband, who was here with her during her illness
and a son from Amarillo, who arrived here Monday.

Mrs. Ruth Smith died Wednesday, November 16, after an illness of several
weeks.  Funeral services were held at the South Methodist church by Rev.
H. S. DeVore.
Mr. and Mrs. Smith were formerly in the racket store business here.

Mr. and Mrs. Smith were formerly in the racket store business here.
Mr. and Mrs. Roy Smith of Tulsa arrived here Sunday to be at the bedside
of his mother, Mrs. Ruth A. Smith, who died Wednesday, Nov. 16.
