SMITH, SARAH FRANCIS
(8 Nov 1928, Elk City Newspaper, Elk City, Beckham Co, OK):
Funeral services were held Monday at 1:30 p.m. for Mrs. Sarah Francis
Smith, who died at the home of her stepson P. G. Smith on November 5,
1928.  Rev. E. C. Webb pastor of the Broadway Methodist church conducted
the funeral services.  Interment was made at East Fairlawn cemetery. 
Gentry-Killough, funeral directors, in charge of arrangements.
Mrs. Smith has lived in the Elk City community for about 20 years at the
home of her stepson who lives eight miles west of Elk City.  She was
married to D. M. Smith, December 16, 1877.  Her husband died September 20,
1909.
She was a native of Tennessee and was born on July 8, 1841, and died at
the age of 87 years, 3 months and 27 days.  P. G. Smith of Elk City and J.
D. Smith, of Burkburnett, stepsons of the deceased, survive her.
