SNODDY, JAMES S.
(16 Dec 1908, Elk City Record, Elk City, Beckham Co, OK):
Died.  James S. Snoddy of Merrit (sic) died December the 9th, 1908 and was
burried (sic) in the Merrit cemetery December the 10th.
Mr. Snoddy had been in bad health for some time.  He had been confined to
his room and to his bed together for the last four months.  The funeral
services were conducted by Rev. B. G. Taylor in the school house.  A large
crowd attended the funeral and also followed the body to the cemetery.  He
professed faith in Jesus Christ a short time before his death.  The crowd
that attended the funeral is evidence that he had many friends.  May the
Lord give them the comfort that no one else can give in this hour of
sorrow and bereavement.
