SNOWDEN, MALINDA S. 'JANE'
(25 Nov 1911, Elk City News Democrat, Elk City, Beckham Co, OK):
Mrs. Jane Snowden, wife of Levi Snowden, died at her home northwest of the
city Nov. 23.  Funeral services were held at Grandview on the 24,
conducted by Rev. Herring, pastor of the M. E. Church South, interment at
Grandview cemetery.
Mrs. Snowden came here from Texas with her family and settled on the place
of her death in 1897.
She leaves, besides her husband, nine children living, seven daughters and
two sons.  Two daughters live in eastern Oklahoma, one in Stevens Co.,
Texas, two north of town, Mrs. Geo. Tabor and Mrs. Joe Heskitt, two sons,
Ransom who lives near Cheyenne and T. Snowden of near Elk City.
Mrs. Snowden was 70 years old, her husband who is very feeble is in his
seventy third year.
