Sollers, born April 18, 1910 near Berlin and died August 16, 1923, at the age of 13 years, 3 months and 28 days. She leaves to mourn her loss a father, mother, five brothers, four sisters and a host of relatives and friends. Eunice was a very lovely girl who loved first of all her father and her mother for whom she called so many times during her suffering, and her brothers and sisters. In fact she loved everybody and would say 'thank you' so sweet when anything was done for her. She was so considerate in her thought of the ones who were caring for her and was such a patient sufferer and tried so hard to do everything she was told, in order to get well. Her loved ones will miss her, miss the happy face, the dear presence but what a comfort to know she is "safe in the arms of Jesus," and that they can each one go to meet her. A great crowd gathered at Berlin school house to pay their last respects. Brother Randolph preached the funeral sermon. Interment was made at Berlin Cemetery (Roger Mills County). May God bless and give strength and courage to the family so bereaved. CARD OF THANKS We wish to thank each and everyone who in any way aided us during the illness of our dear daughter and sister. Mr. and Mrs. George Sollers and children. Mr. and Mrs. W. R. Green. (23 Aug 1923, Sayre Headlight, Sayre, Beckham Co, OK): Eunice Sollers, born April 17 (sic), 1910, died August 15 (sic), '23, after a weeks illness. The still small voice called her home. The aid of skilled surgeons and physicians, the tender nursing, the deep interest of family and friends were to no avail. Before being wrapped in the drapery of death Eunice called each member of the family to her bedside and bade them a cheerful farewell, asking them to meet her in Heaven. Rev. Randolph officiating at the services in Berlin. --------------------------------------------------- Return to Beckham County Archives: http://www.usgwarchives.net/ok/beckham/beckham.html
