(29 Mar 1923, Thursday, Elk City News-Democrat, Elk City, Beckham Co, OK): DEATH OF CECIL J. SOLOMON Cecil J. Solomon died Monday March 26th, and his funeral was held at the Fairlawn cemetery the following day. Rev. Hamilton in charge of the services, and Grubitz & Son in charge of interment. Young Mr. Solomon had been around Elk City off or on for some time and when taken sick with typhoid fever was at the home of J. B. Lewis. His mother died when he was but a small boy. His father, J. H. Solomon lives at Estancia, N.M., and came to see him last week remaining until after his death and funeral. (6 Apr 1923, Elk City Newspaper, Elk City, Beckham Co, OK): Cecil J. Solomon died March 22, 1923, of typhoid fever at a local hospital. A son of J. H. Solomon of Estancia, N. M., was twenty years of age, had been in this vicinity a short time, and was employed as a farm hand.
