All rights reserved. http://www.rootsweb.com/~usgenweb/copyright.htm ************************************************ SPITZER, HARRIETT ALICE ( Sep 1930, Elk City Newspaper, Elk City, Beckham Co, OK): SPITZER RITES AT KIOWA SCHOOL Funeral services for Mrs. Harriett Alice Spitzer, 65, a resident of this section for 33 years, were held Thursday afternoon at 5 o'clock at the Kiowa school building. Rev. J. F. Curtis, pastor of the First Baptist church, of Hammon, officiated. Mrs. Spitzer had been ill for the past several months. She was born September 11, 1865 in Virginia. She is survived by her husband, Mr. Spitzer, and seven children. The children are: Charles Spitzer, Roscoe Spitzer, Ralph Spitzer and Solen Spitzer, all who reside near Hammon; George Spitzer, of New Gulf, Tex.; Mrs. O. D. Nix, who lives south of Elk City; and Mrs. Fannie Luttrell of Cheyenne. Interment was made in the Kiowa Cemetery (Roger Mills County).
