STEPHENS, FRANKLIN P.
(2 Mar 1929, Elk City Newspaper, Elk City, Beckham Co, OK):
Franklin Pierce Stephens was born in Alabama February 24, 1857.  He died
at the home of his daughter near Hammon, Oklahoma, April 30, 1929, at the
age of 72 years, 2 months and 6 days.  Funeral services were held at the
home at 4:00 p.m.  Rev. Carl V. Covey of the First Christian church at Elk
City officiated.  Interment was made in Red Hill cemetery (Roger Mills
County).  Gentry-Killough, funeral directors, were in charge of
arrangements.
