T. STEVENS DEAD John Thomas Stevens died Saturday night, March 4th, after a lingering illness of several months, aged 49 years. The body was taken to Butler, Oklahoma (Custer County), on Sunday for interment. He leaves a wife and six children, two of whom are married, and the youngest is about thirteen years of age. Also three sisters, a brother living near Butler and one near Hammon. For several weeks Mr. Stevens suffered intensely and his neighbors and friends say they never saw a more patient person. They speak in the highest terms of the deceased, saying he was a good christian man and everyone liked him. He was a hard working man.
