In 1875, with his parents, he went to Kansas to make their home. He was married to Mattie Ollgire. To them three children were born: Stella, now deceased; Mrs. Charles D. Hall of Kansas City, Missouri, and Florence J. Stover of Elk City. Mr. Stover has six grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren. Two sisters also survive him, both living in California; Mrs. J. N. Trickey of Balboa and Mrs. Joe Orenberger of Middleton. Death occurred at his home on West Third street last Saturday night about nine o'clock, following a long illness. In accordance with his wishes funeral services were conducted Sunday evening at the Funeral Chapel of Grubitz & Son, by Rev. Tracy, pastor of the Presbyterian Church. The music was furnished by the choir of that church. The chapel was crowded with friends, the floral offerings were many and beautiful, and the entire service was a testimony of the high esteem his friends and neighbors felt for Mr. Stover. --------------------------------------------------- Return to Beckham County Archives: http://www.usgwarchives.net/ok/beckham/beckham.html
