SWING, JACOB LEWIS
(4 Oct 1919, Elk City Newspaper, Elk City, Beckham Co, OK):
DEATH OF BABY LEWIS SWING
Everyone was sad in this community last Thursday when the news was told
that little Jacob Lewis Swing had passed away after an illness of a little
over a week from cholera infantum.  Everything was done for him that could
be by friends, doctors and nurse.
He was the youngest child of Mr. and Mrs. J. G. Swing of Merritt
neighborhood, and was the pet of the home.  He was born March 15th, 1918,
and died October 2nd, 1919, being nearly eighteen months old.
The funeral services were held on Friday afternoon, conducted by Rev.
Abbott, after which the little body was laid to rest in Merritt Cemetery. 
Many beautiful flowers were sent by friends and the family have the
deepest sympathy of all in their loss.
