(10 Dec 1925, Elk City Newspaper, Elk City, Beckham Co, OK): Death of Pioneer P. S. Taylor or "Uncle Perry" as he was familiarly known by his friends died at the home of his son, Edgar Taylor near Cheyenne, Friday, November 27th, at the age of 94 years. "Uncle Perry" was a veteran of the Civil War, and at that time received injuries from which he never fully recovered and during the last years of his life, he was so crippled that he was almost helpless. Three sons survive him, Ek and Edgar of Cheyenne and Stone Taylor of Norman all of whom were with him in his last illness. A daughter, Mrs. John Warran died during the flu epidemic in 1918. Mr. Taylor with his family moved to the Cheyenne country in the early day when it was the home of the cattlemen.
