(5 May 1930, Elk City Newspaper, Elk City, Beckham Co, OK): TAYLOR FUNERAL TO BE HELD HERE Hammon Woman Dies in City After Brief Illness; Services Tuesday. Funeral services for Mrs. Sarah Haney Taylor, wife of J. H. Taylor of Hammon, will be held Tuesday afternoon at 1 o'clock in the First Baptist church in this city. Rev. J. F. Curtis, pastor of the First Baptist church in Hammon and Rev. H. W. Shirley, pastor of the church here, will officiate. Mrs. Taylor died early Monday morning in a city hospital after an illness of six weeks. She was born November 11, 1901, at Booneville, Missouri, and moved to Melburn, Ark., with her parents at the age of five years. She was converted to the Baptist faith and became a member of that church when a young lady and was active in the church until the time of her illness. Mrs. Taylor was married December 22, 1918 in Melburn and lived there for several years before coming to Elk City. She moved to Hammon a few months later. Immediate members of the family surviving Mrs. Taylor are her husband, a daughter, Nadine, two years old and a son seven years old. Interment will be made in the Red Hills cemetery (Roger Mills County).
