Funeral services for Henry Thacker, 68, were held Sunday afternoon at 2:30 o'clock at the Church of God, with Rev. G. S. Moad, pastor of that church officiating. Mr. and Mrs. Thacker came to Elk City about a year and a half ago from Healdton, and have resided at 504 North Adams street. Mr. Thacker had been confined to the State Tubercular Sanitarium at Clinton for several months. He died here Saturday, December 13. Mr. Thacker was born in Knoxville, Tenn., September 21, 1862, where he lived until eighteen years of age when he went to Texas. He came to Indian Territory in 1889 and was married to Miss Pearl Taylor in 1893 at Woolsey. Mr. Thacker is survived by his widow, Mrs. Thacker and five children, four of whom live in this city. They are Mrs. C. L. Featherston, H. E. Thacker, Jr., Miss Christine Thacker and Lester Thacker. One son, L. P. Thacker resides at Wilson. Interment was made in the Fairlawn cemetery.
