   BENJAMIN HARVEY THOMAS
   
   Services for B. H. THOMAS, 66, of 605 South Randall, will be held at 2
   p.m. Tuesday at the Methodist church with Rev. Herman GING and Rev.
   Garlin WILSON officiating.
   
   Mr. THOMAS was born Oct. 3, 1889 in Stephens county, Tex., and died
   Sunday, October 23 in a local hospital after an illness of six months.
   
   He was married to Miss Helen JAMES in 1913 at Carlsbad, N.M., and had
   lived in Oklahoma and Roger Mills county since 1895 and in Elk City
   since 1945. He was employed by the city until his illness forced his
   retirement. He was a member of the Methodist church.
   
   Survivors are his wife, Mr. B. H. THOMAS, of the home; two daughters,
   Mrs. R. N. CHAPMAN, Elk City, and Mrs. Frank DODSON, Grimes; two sons,
   Kenneth "Corky" THOMAS, Elk City, and J. T. THOMAS, Riverside, Calif.
   
   Also surviving are one sister, Mrs. N. D. DYKES, Hammon, four
   brothers, R. M. and Harlan THOMAS, Hammon; W. I. THOMAS, Elk City, and
   Joe THOMAS, Tucumcarl, N.M., and eight grandchildren and one great
   grandchild.
   
   Burial will be in Red Hill cemetery at Hammon under direction of
   Martin-Hullum funeral home.
